I haven't used Codex yet. Only Copilot. My understanding is that because both are built on top of GPT-3 they should be very similar. The advantage of Copilot is that it is already integrated to VS code so you can easily leverage it in the editor as you work.
I just got access to play with ChatGPT. So far I've been asking it some general questions but it often seems make up false (but credible) answers to many of my questions. I've seen some people is using it instead similarly to Jasper (for writing assistance) but haven't tried that myself yet. Seems that might be a better use case for it than using it as a reliable wikipedia alternative: https://oneusefulthing.substack.com/p/the-mechanical-professor
